Football Rice Krispie Treats


INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups Cocoa flavored Rice Krispy Cereal
  • 4 cups mini-marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • vanilla frosting

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Begin by melting the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add marshmallows and heat until melted and smooth. Be sure not to burn the mixture.
  2. Add krispy cereal and mix until incorporated.
  3. Let cool for approximately 1.5 hours on counter.
  4. Roll a compact ball slightly larger than a golf ball of the mixture and then press flat on parchment paper.
  5. Form into football shape.
  6. Once cool, Use a small icing tip to add frosting to the treats for the details and laces of the football.
  7. Enjoy!

RECIPE NOTES:

  • Vinyl kitchen gloves and extra butter help to control the stickiness of the mixture. These proportions yielded 18 football treats. Footballs were approximately 3-4 inches lengthwise.
